LaunchPad in Action: Career Credentials Inside Perryville Women’s Prison
Aug 11, 2025
At Mission: Launch, we believe second chances start long before release. That’s why we’re excited to spotlight our partnership with Dress for Success Phoenix and R3 Score Technologies a collaboration making career training and industry-recognized credentials available to incarcerated women inside Perryville Women’s Prison.
Thanks to a $4 million U.S. Department of Labor Pathway Home 6 Grant, Dress for Success Phoenix is expanding its HOPE for Success program and opening The HOPE Center, a first-of-its-kind satellite learning studio inside Perryville. The goal? Equip women with the digital skills, career exposure, and credentials they need to thrive the moment they step back into the workforce.
Through this partnership, R3UP’s tablet-based platform delivers interactive workforce development content directly into the hands of participants no internet required. Women can access:
Digital literacy training to navigate today’s tech-driven job market
Career exploration tools for high-demand fields
Industry-recognized credentials in sectors like energy, public utilities, and advanced manufacturing
This model ensures that skills-building starts well before reentry, helping participants gain the confidence, qualifications, and industry awareness they need to secure family-sustaining careers.
With more than 3,000 women incarcerated at Perryville, the impact potential is significant. By integrating technology, targeted training, and employer-aligned credentials, we’re working together to turn time served into time invested in a better future.
“Our partnership with Dress for Success Phoenix is a testament to what’s possible when technology meets purpose,” said Laurin Leonard, President & CEO of R3 Score Technologies. “We’re creating a national standard for in-prison workforce readiness.”
Stay tuned for more LaunchPad in Action stories as we continue to bring career exposure, skills training, and credentials directly into correctional facilities across the country.
